ZZNL is a power SDR CAT command that is not supported in SmartSDR.  See the SmartSDR Cat user guide..  There are many PowerSDR CAT commands that are not supported in SmartSDR CAT

In the latest SmartCAT 1.2.8.0 manual, dated May 1, on page 27 outlines this command and its usage.  .  If I query the command in the Test section, a valid return is given.  Jim K4JAF

So how does it not work if it is returning a valid response?

    Jim,
You are correct... For some reason 1.2.1 installed an old version ( 1.5 ) of the CAT reference on my main PC ...

It appears to me that ZZNL has different function in PowerSDR vs. SmartSDR...
ZZNL  -- PSDR --  Sets or reads Noise Blanker 1 threshold
SSDR --  Sets or reads the AGC Threshold for Slice A

    ???

It does return a valid replay but the reply seems related to the level of the noise blanker..  You can change the level of the noise blanker on the 6000, perform the query and it does indicate the level.

Of course if you try to use the command language such as:  ZZNL+080 no valid reply is give..  I don't understand why there is a plus or minus sign in the command either..  ZZNR works fine which turns the NR on or off but no way to manually control the level of the NR.  Wonder if ZZNL was supposed to change the level of the noise reduction?  Jim K4JAF

    Jim,
I found the SSDR ZZNL command in SmartSDR CAT Users Guide v1.6 dated 4/30/2014 for CAT version 1.2.8

    Jim, Tim,
Seems to me that the CAT document is in error on the ZZNL command.. It does indeed read the state of the SLice A NB control but can not set the NB Control.. ( or AGC-T control ) .   ZZNL050;  doesn't return anything. ZZNL+050; and other variations return ?

This is a confirmed defect.  It will be corrected in the next release of SmartSDR for Windows.
