I wanted to post a quick note to the Community regarding recent traffic related to HamRadioDeluxe and our PowerSDR/SmartSDR software products:

We are aware that a small percentage of PowerSDR and SmartSDR users have been struggling with stability issues when using HamRadioDeluxe.  We are in close communications with Rick and the team at HRD Software LLC and are actively exchanging ideas plus hardware and software resources to mutually resolve these issues.  The consensus is that this is some sort of system integration interaction between SmartSDR/PowerSDR, HRD, the virtual serial drivers in use, and Windows.  In other words.... this is a nasty one that's going to take some time and concerted effort to chase down and squash.  A few quick notes to help us out:

1. Thanks in advance for your patience with us as we as a team work this issue out.  System integration issues are the toughest kind and when they cross software platforms and companies, it's even more challenging.  Rick and I are committed to solving the problem as quickly as possible.

2. If you are having issues, the first thing we suggest is to stay current with the latest software for both your radio and HamRadioDeluxe.  Currently, PowerSDR users should be running v2.7.2 and SmartSDR  users v1.1.3.  Check http://www.ham-radio-deluxe.com/ for the latest HRD version.

3. We are interested in specific, repeatable forensics on systems that are having issues.  If you are experiencing issues with HRD and would like to contribute, please open a HELPDESK ticket.  http://helpdesk.flexradio.com  PLEASE be as specific as possible with Operating system details, HRD and Flex software versions, add-ons installed etc.  Put "HRD" somewhere in the subject line of the ticket.  We will acknowledge your submission, ask for any additional information or details, and then close the ticket (so it doesn't clog our day-to-day traffic).

Thanks everyone.  HRD is a nice addition to PowerSDR and SmartSDR.  We'll do our best to get through this and make your amateur radio experience better.
