IQ and skimmer

I have DAX IQ working with skimmer but nothing is aligned. I know Tim said you set the LO to the freq set in the middle of the panadapter....do I have to keep the slice centered and stay on that frequency? Do I have to set the sidetone in skimmer to match SSDR?
I have one panadapter centered on 14.045.000 and set to IQ CH1 which is selected in the DAX CP. I have that freq set to the LO in skimmer and I am decoding and sending the spots to the telnet function to spot collector. but when I click on one of those spots with slice A in a separate panadapter nothing is on frequency or even close.

I think I have it.....I don't enter the freq shown in the slice as the skimmer LO but the freq shown in the dax cp next to the IQ channel number.
