Adjusting the Panadapter Signal Level

George Pietruszenko (KI6LZ) suggested this on November 14, 2012 04:29 PM. Has FLEX resolved this baseline issue? The baseline trace for the panadapter signal level needs some way that it can be lowered on the screen display without effecting the displayed peak signal level of the TX. When setting the panadapter signal trace to the lower part of the display using the UP/DN DB buttons, the peak of the TX signal is peaking off the top of the panadapter display. Also, using dual slices, with different bands the signal level trace of the second slice is below the slice panadapter display and cannot to be moved UP using the slice UP/DN buttons.. I use the - and + plus, UP/DN attenuation buttons to adjust the displayed signal traces. This does not always bring the trace near the displayed panadapter bottom. This has been noticed more with the latest SmartSDR version.

Just left click and hold on the dB scale on the panadapter. Drag the baseline where you want it. Mack W4AX1

Mack: Thanks. I still peak past the top of the panadapter signal baseline display when running TX. Is there anyway to reduce the signal level when in TX. My peak of the TX Digital signal is at the top of the display and sometimes off the panadapter screen top. Bill W4EY0

Currently transmit and RX use the same vertical scale.0

If you click the up or down arrows at the top of the vertical scale, you will change the scaling factor vertically .0
