DAX channel 1 issue

I am planning to use dax in the RTTY RU this weekend. Setting up today I ran into a problem but found a work around. When I set the DAX channel to CH1 I could not raise a contact and the tx audio on the panadapter looked terrible. I listened on the K3 and could not decode and the audio had a terrible hollow sound to it. It did not sound like a normal RTTY signal. I changed to channel 5, made the change in the DAX CP and in MMTTY. Now it sounds fine though when changing bands I could not TX....had to change channels in the slice control to something else then back to 5 and then I could TX. Went back and tried CH1 and same thing....sounded terrible. I did from the start change the sampling rate in the properties to 48K on all the channels. I also found that the persistence is not working correctly (I think). I started on 160M and set the mode to DIGL and dax ch5....same for 80, 40...thru 10M. When I went back to 20M there was no slice. I had to add the slice but it was no longer in DIGL or the correct DAX channel. 73 Greg AB7R
