Does DAX signal go thru the PC sound card. Or is that processing done in the radio.

AFAIK, neither. DAX takes the selected passband from the radio server and routes it to a virtual sound card, if you will, in the PC for conversion & delivery.

Bob, DAX signals do not 'go thru' the PC system sound card. However each DAX endpoint acts nearly exactly like a PC sound device.. They all appear in the window 'Audio device manager' and have nearly the same controls as a standrad PC sound card. Installing DAX may mean that the default system sound device needs to be reassigned to the PC hardware sound card. AL, K0VM
