Split operation fabulous!

Just worked VU7AG, split! Put his transmitting frequency in the left channel, and my transmit freq in the right. Narrow filter on his freq, wide filter on my freq. I like this system as it is very easy to use. I could here many of the stations working him although most of them were just above the noise! Tuned to the last station working him and made the contact. The low noise level in the 6700 really helped in hearing the calling stations.

I did this myself on another DX station last week and was very pleased with the results. I had never run "stereophonic CW splits" with headphones before. It was very nice! The QSK was very smooth also, once I adjusted the delay up to about 12. No receive popping at 18 WPM, which is my comfort level at the moment. I will speed up as the rust comes off, now that I have rediscovered the joy of effective CW operation with super-narrow filtering, and RX EQ adjusted for CW. Thanks for a great rig, guys!
