TXMonitorGain error

TXMonitorGain error I've noticed that each time I key the radio, it generates an error in the CatLog.txt file. See snapshot below. The error is a request to "get the TXMonitorGain." I normally use DDUtil but I don't it is related since I get the errors in the CatLog even when DDUtil is not running. There is no other third party software running or connected to the radio via SmartCAT. Questions: 1) What does the error mean? 2) What is the source of the Get TXMonitor requrest? 3) Other than filling up the CatLog file and wasting cycles is this something to be concerned about? Regards, Al / NN4ZZ

Al, That error means that your friendly CAT programmer hasn't caught up with a newly added radio property :>). To specifically answer your questions: 1. It means that CAT received a change in the TXMonitorGain property but had no way of responding to it (no code implemented in CAT that recognized the property name). 2. The SSDR source is the TX Monitor level slider on the TX panel. As you can see in the error message, the error was detected in CAT at the CatStateManager module Get method. 3. Other than letting me know when new properties are added (so I can catch them in the CAT code), or detecting coding errors that I make, it serves no other purpose at the present time. In the future it will be used by Customer Service for an aide to troubleshooting. Some properties result in CAT commands/actions, there are numerous others (housekeeping type stuff) that are simply trapped and filtered to minimize the log activity. The logging activity you are seeing will probably be typical for quite some time. BTW, the CAT error log is limited to five files of 10 MB each. It is a circular logging system and will delete the first log (date wise) when a sixth log is created. 73, BobT1

Bob, Thanks for the detailed answer. It didn't look critical but figured it was worth checking. Regards, Al / NN4ZZ0
