I FINALLY got SmartCat talking to my logging software. I may be too old for this. :-((

Success, I thought I'd followed the instruction line by line, but I must have missed the part in the install to go to Modules and run the CatInstaller_32.msi. I now have my Flex conversing via DDUT3 to my logging program. For 2 days I've been trying to figure out how to install Smart Cat. I had 'enabled the box to install SmartCat' but for some reason I thought it was automatic. Now....to learn more stuff.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
