When going through the release notes for the new update I remember seeing something about using the FSK line for CW dit on the ACC connector...something like that. Could someone please explain this? Thanks Greg

The first version of SSDR reserved a pin on the ACC connector for an FSK input when true FSK is implimented. That same pin can now also be used as a CW input when in CW mode. This eliminated the need to have any connections to the front of the radio for those that prefer to have all of there connections on the back. The pin is still available for Direct FSK input when it is available ( and may be selectively available for flexwire INTerrupt ). obviously its a shared pin and there could be conflicts in the furture. Thanks Al. which pin is that? I asked about something similar a long time ago. Although I wish they did no dual purpose the FSK input it is a step in the right direction. I posted a note asking about FSK just yesterday but have not seen any responses yet. Thanks Greg

Greg, The ACC pin out can be found with a search in the cmmunity or at http://community.flexradio.com/flexradio/topics/what_are_the_pin_outs_on_the_acc_connector I think the origianal plan was to provide a direct FSK transmit capablity with sound card RX. The FSK pin on the ACC would be for Mark/SpaceTX data. I dont think they have any current plans to impliment an RTTY decoder in SmartSDR. But if they run out of other things to impliment without using up all the phsical resources.... Al, K0VM

Thanks. I will try that and one of the grounds. FSK keying for TX is all I am concerned with for now though in the future decoding and some type of multi band skimmer would be nice. :)
