FLEX SmartSDR and HRD

I have noticed that when using HRD with the new FLEX CAT Control appears different when I was using HRD and the FLEX 5000. My CAT Appears to be working correctly between the New FLEX and HRD. Issue is when changing DX Cluster BANDS on HRD, The NEW FLEX does not follow with a band change. The New FLEX will follow HRD DX CLuster when changing between frequencies on the same band. However, if I change the BAND with HRD DX Cluster, clicking on the frequency shown in DX CLuster, FLEX does not follow and change the Band. I tried SDR Radio and TS-2000 CAT settings in HRD to see if it made any different Band changes and responses on the New FLEX. Still wondering if the FLEX will follow the 3rd Party software using CAT when changing bands via the 3rd party software.. Thanks Bill W4EY

Well Bill, not only this issue are exist in general, but for HRD i recommend do not start HRD server but DDutil with HRD server emulation and further logbook or other HRD appl. I assume you will be surprised.0

Or just restart SSDR CAT, must work, i have tested couple minutes ago: SSDR CAT->DDutil V3 - > HRD Logbook0

Current versions of SSDR have a known, previously reported, problem with reliably following CAT freqeuncy change commands when the frequency change is more than a few Mhz. For now, you may need to use the slice band change function to change the slice into the new band before you click on the spot.. I know.. ITS A BIG PAIN.. AL, K0VM1

Al: Thanks for the info. I have been using slice receivers on different bands to follow HRD. Still trying to learn the functions of the new FLEX. Had a issue with operating CW Split. The only way I could get the Split to work was to run two separate slice receiversand set one to TX and the other to Receive. Was a little hard when trying to adjust the TX frequency just a few cycles to move around other stations. Hope FLEX comes out with a Operation Manual for the FLEX 6K to make it easier to use some different features. Thanks Bill.0
