Could a logic patch be made to allow the CW Key Jack to be used as PTT on phone?

I have a footswitch wired to the back panel, but was just wondering if a logic patch could be made to allow the front panel CW jack to be used as a PTT when on phone? I always have my Bencher paddles plugged in and it would be convenient to use the left paddle as a quick & dirty PTT key when I can't reach the footswitch or am away from the operating position, etc. Seems like it wouldn't take much logic to permit this as a selectable option.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
