Larry, These are the steps I used. First set-up a DAX channel as described in the video. Then launch WSJT. When WSJT loads you see the list of available audio streams. Look for which number is associated with the DAX RX audio for input and DAX TX audio for output. In my particular case I can only get DAX channel 1 to work so I use the numbers associated with that. Then in the options tab in WSJT enter the numbers for input and output and then restart WSJT. You will also need to set up a PTT port using Smart CAT. Create the port and enter that into the WSJT options page as well. Restart WSJT and you should be able to key your radio with WSJT. So far I’ve been successful in receiving 2M FSK441 MS and JT65B EME. I’m not quite ready on TX as need to work out some port conflicts between SmartCAT and my tracking controller. Hope this helps.

I forward a message from today Joe send me: Hi Chris, Yes, I am aware that software for the Flex 6000 series installs a large number of DAX pseudo-devices -- more than the maximum number supported by old versions of WSJT and WSPR. Last week I posted WSPR 2.12, and today I have posted WSJT v9.5 r3619, with support for up to 100 audio devices. You should upgrade to these versions. A link to the installation package for WSJT 9.5 r3619 can be found at http://physics.princeton.edu/pulsar/K1JT/wsjt.html . -- 73, Joe, K1JT

I've got WSJT installed on my computer. I don't see any Flex radio except for the SDR-1000. Which one should I use?

It's a little confusing. There is WSJT (now in version 9.x) and WSJT-x (version 1.x). Both are similar programs, but WSJT-X is geared for JT65 and JT9 on HF.

What is the recommended way to set up FLEX-6000 / SSDR 1.6.9 and WSJT 10 (note NOT WSJT X)? I think I have audio working but don't know what to put for PTT Port, DTR, and RTS.

Perhaps PTT port is the "Serial: COM4" that SmartSDR CAT shows, but what about DTR and RTS?

Anything else I should know about WSJT with FLEX-6700 ??? Just getting on 6m for some JT65A EME.

Bill you don't need a COM PTT - just use the VOX and as WSJT goes in TX it will fire the PTT on the Flex fine .. I don't use HW PTT anymore from WSJT - just the VOX.

Setting up WSJT for EME on the Flex is easy .. just use a DAX in/out as you would with any software

It's very simple to setup - shout if you run into trouble

    Cheers

Tnx for info, Simon. I did get the PTT working via virtual serial port before I read your note here.

Working S57RR and ES6RQ today on 50 MHz JT65A off the moon. FLEX-6700 with WSJT 10 worked great.
