User Privileges / Log-On

In a Radio Server environment such as a Flex 6000 series provides, you might have multiple users (Club, Contest, RACES) wanting to connect and use. It would be great to be able to create User Accounts and set permissions and/or privileges. This would require the user to log-in with a user name and password combination. Once logged in, the radio would only provide the abilities the administrator provided. The privileges could be set either very specifically to certain bands, length of connection to the radio, provide transmitting capability or generally to coincide with FCC License band limits (Technician, General, Extra). A privilege could be set to provide non-licensed individuals with "listen only" permissions. Those who are affiliated with MARS/CAP licenses would have access to wide-band transmitting capabilities.
