FlexControl Not Connecting under Parallels

My FlexControl does not automatically connect to SmartSDR running under Parallels on a Mac. The USB cable needs to be pulled out and re-inserted (sometimes many times) before the unit is recognized. I have set the FlexControl to automatically connect to the VM, not to the host computer, and the serial port is not used by any other devices or software.
Any suggestions are appreciated, Ron

Ron,
This is a Parallels problem which appeared with the release of Parallels 9 and remains in 10. Also, if you upgrade to Parallels 10, be sure to remove the FlexControl from the Devices menu before installing a new release of SmartSDR - otherwise the VM will hang while SmartSDR is attempting to install the FlexControl drivers (no really a driver as much as the INF file that points to the Windows USBSER.SYS driver).
I have found that rather than unplugging the FlexControl, instead, use the Device menu for the VM to remove the FlexControl device (usually USB Knob followed by a number) and then re-enable it.
