CWX Questions

CWX Questions - Does the planned CWX enhancement basically implement the ZZKY CAT command? - Are there changes to the SmartSDR GUI also to leverage the CWX capability? - Is there a document that explains the CWX features and design? I don't have any experience with the previous PowerSDR radios so that may explain why I have the questions. Regards, Al / NN4ZZ

Al, You can go to the download page on the flexradio.com website and download any of the radio manuals for the FLEX-1500, FLEX-3000 or FLEX-5000. You can find the CWX section in the manual.

Gerald, Thanks, I was looking through the FLEX-5000 manual and PowerSDR Cat command documents and that was the source of my questions. Based on the PowerSDR CWX form, it looks like the SmartSDR GUI would be modified to add something similar with buttons for the memory keyer. See pics below. Is this a correct assumption? And that it would also support third party keying via the ZZKY command. Just wanted to confirm that. Regards, Al / NN4ZZ ************ In my mockup, I assumed the memory strings would be on the "CW settings" tab and the buttons would be on the main screen. ************** ************ CAT command keying *****************

Al, The final specs for the CWX feature have not been defined yet. As Gerlad indicated, we will use the PowerSDR CWX specifications as a template to provide the baseline features and then we may add more. It is a long standing company policy not to comment, speculate or commit to what specific feature sets or feature details will or will not be included in a future feature or product until we are in beta testing. This includes CWX. We have however decided to published the high level SmartSDR Feature Road map that can be downloaded from the FlexRadio web site.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu.
