Changing TX bandwidth during transmission caused weird feedback

I know you are not supposed to do it this way... but I noticed that my TX bandwidth was still set for "narrow DX mode" when I began a rag chew with someone on 20 Meters last night. So as I transmitted, I clicked on the setup/transmit/voice and adjusted my bandwidth from 230-2700 Hz to 100-2950 Hz. I got off the PTT before clicking the second number and began transmitting again. But the rig started giving weird distorted sound on TX and through the monitor. The pan display wasl all out of normal, also. I got off the PTT and listened to his replay and started transmitting again... same weird distortion. The guy I was talking to just thought someone was interfering with my signal. I opened the setup file and entered the numbers again, and it hasn't happened again. I just thought someone might like to know that this glitch can happen. Moral of the story.... Don't adjust TX Bandwidth while transmitting..... Has anyone else encountered this?

An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu.
