Are there CAT commands for profiles 2
Options
It occurs to me FRStack and DDUTIL could be made to communicate and do the "CAT" control of "memorized profiles" without actually using CAT. Both use TCP/IP to connect so you would need DDUTIL to be able to send an escape command with some data that would tell FRStack which memory profile to select. Something like DD6FRS ****; where **** represents the escape value sent to FRStack. I have no idea if the authors are into this but I do know it could be done.
I have been playing around with FRStack and DDUTIL and these programs can control the 6500 from different remote computers. For example if I have SSDR streaming from a remote computer and FRStack and DDUTIL connected from a local computer the local programs control the 6500 and are controlled by the 6500. If I open FRStack and DDUTIL on the remote computer I can also control the 6500. I can use this to remote control my automatic band switching because I use DDUTIL and a USB 8 relay box on the local computer to create the BCD to control the rest of the station (amp and antenna switch). This means you should be able to accomplish push button control of complex commands across the network. I do this using DDUTIL and the software macro buttons panel across my network and it works great. I also use FRStack on the remote computer for memory control across the network. It also turns out you can use different DDUTIL button profiles and FRStack memory profiles on local and remote instances of these programs. So if you had a hamshack in a shed out at the tower base you could have a local set of macros say to test the rotor or antenna switch but then a whole different set of operating macros that you use from the "ham shack" back inside the house
