TGXL failing to tune 20 thru 6

I am having issues with my Tuner Genius (TGXL) not tuning and going into alarm mode displaying both a "Low RF Power" and "SWR . 10:1."

Current TGXL firmware is 1.2.17.

The tuner is connected to a Doublet Antenna and has worked perfectly until now. The antenna tunes just fine on the Flex 8600 internal tuner. And checks out when tested for any faults. Failure occurs on 20 meters and up. I can bypass the tuner and use a dummy load and all works well on all bands. When I engage the tuner using the dummy load I receiver the same failure pop ups.

I have don a factory reset (all three) with no positive results. I also noted that the touch screen was not functioning. The touch screen reset/calibrate seems to have remedied that issue. I have tried all three antenna outputs and have the failure on all three.

Transmit chain is Flex 860 to Flex PGXL to TGXL. I have checked both the transceiver and amp and both are functioning as they should. I substituted the 8600 with a 6700 and the same failure occurs with the tuner.

All of my testing leads me to believe the TGXL has a problem and the rest of the gear is operating as it should.

Looking for ideas or thoughts regarding the failure.

    Hi Verne, it sounds like you have done everything that you can. I would submit a help desk ticket.

    By the way, you normally have a good signal into Colorado on the Sunday Flex net.

    Hi Verne.

    May I please refer you to a post I made called "Tuner Genius Failure" dated February 2022.

    Your issue sounds exactly the same as mine happened. It suddenly failed to tune 20m and above. Bottom line, I returned it to 403A in Montenegro (!), via my retailer in the UK for repair under warranty. It turned out that there are two paths for the transmit signal, one path for 20M and above and another path for 30M and below. They were able to fix it for me by swapping out the defective relay in the machine, and it has worked perfectly for me ever since.
