A question about the GPS antenna of the Aurora 520, is it active and can it be replaced with another one?

I do not know if active or not but I replaced it with

The Flex supplied one found satellites but rarely locked. The one from Amazon locks in about 5 minutes.

Note though that there are many extraneous factors such as sky visibility, local noise, and so on so what works for me might not for you. But they are cheap, circa 12 Euro, so worth a try.

The stock Antenna that came with my 520M was dead as a doornail. Zero satellites received.

After tons of debugging. I determined (with help) it was the antenna. FlexRadio said they'd send me a replacement, but I still haven't received it a month later.

I purchased the Waveshare Antenna and it works great! It sees 22 satellites and achieves a "fine lock" in seconds. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GJDT9PCG

    Highly recommended.
