Announcement: RimuSDR for Linux — Launching Soon

Hi everyone,

I’m excited to share that RimuSDR, a new Linux‑native software suite for FlexRadio users, is entering its final pre‑release stage. After extensive testing with a dedicated group of operators, the software is now very stable and nearly ready for public release — just a week or two away.

RimuSDR is built with a familiar interface designed so everything is right where you expect it, making operation smooth from the very start. The initial release delivers a comprehensive feature set that covers virtually all functionality operators rely on today, with additional enhancements already planned for future updates. It also includes companion tools:

  • RimuDAX — Digital audio exchange
  • RimuCAT — CAT control

If you’d like a first look, screenshots, feature details, and updates are available here:

I’m looking forward to sharing more as we get closer to launch. Feedback and questions are always welcome.

I have been testing RimuSDR on a Raspberry Pi 4B.  It is working wonderfully!  Even on a lowly Pi 4, the performance is fantastic. SmartLink is available, and easy to use.  It has a login manager so that you can easily switch among remote stations.  For users of club stations who also have a Flex, this will be a great feature. Simon has been very responsive to bug reports and ideas.  I am looking forward to the release!

    Interesting.

I see hints about purchasing a license, but absolutely no indication of cost!

I'm pretty sure I examined every single web-page, including "Buy Now" but the cost eluded me 😯

Apologies Gord, I still had to finalize the details of the pricing page. You should now be able to click on Buy Now to see the price.

Of course Add to Cart is disabled while we finalize the builds. Launch is scheduled in the next couple of weeks.
