Good morning, when will the Flex Aurora arrive in Europe?

    The EU distributor has been saying that availability is coming soon for a month.

    In accordance with the EU Radio Equipment Directive (2014/53/EU) Articles 3(3)(d)–(f), which recently introduced new cybersecurity compliance requirements, Aurora is undergoing an additional round of testing. We expect this process to take approximately six weeks, including implementation of minor mitigations. Once completed, we’ll be fully authorized to ship to European customers.

    It would be good to get an update on how this is going. Additionally, why does this affect shipments to UK?

    It appears I am the third person to ask about EU availability here. I am seriously considering purchasing the Aurora AU-510M, but when I look on the Wimo site, the only option is to leave a 200 euro deposit. The message they currently have is this - “ Unfortunately, delivery of this item has been delayed. We are currently unable to provide an exact delivery date. However, we are working hard to inform you of a new date as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.”

    Please provide an update so I can budget my time and money appropriately.

    email reply of FlexRadio (part) "We are wrapping up testing with the test house this week and awaiting the report which could take an additional one to two weeks.   Once we have an update on delivery schedules to the EU we will notify"

    my additional info: In short: the provisions themselves still exist in the text of RED, but the implementing act under 3(3)(i) and the linked Article‑4 measures have been put on hold since 2021 and are now effectively abandoned as of 16th jan 2026.

    It would be wonderful if our distributors had these questions answered:

    As we are now entering the second week of March—roughly four weeks into the six-week estimate provided in early February—I am looking for a progress update. Specifically:
    1. Testing Status: Has the "additional round of testing" been successfully completed, or are we still in the lab phase?
    2. UK/PSTI Alignment: Given that the UK has similar requirements under the PSTI Act, will the "minor mitigations" being implemented for the EU also cover the UKCA compliance for UK customers simultaneously?
    3. Shipping Priority: Once the mitigations are implemented, will UK backorders be processed in the same queue as EU orders, or is there a separate logistical path for the UK?
