MOX Hangs After DVK Message

I recorded a couple of messages using the DVK feature of my 8600. After recording them, I used Audacity to adjust the volume and trim the leading and trailing portions off each message. I then uploaded these messages back to my 8600.

The messages play correctly when I press the "F" keys, but the transceiver does not return to receive; MOX stays on after the message is sent.

Pressing the MOX button after the DVK message plays returns the transceiver to receive mode.

If I turn the VOX off, the messages play as expected, and the transceiver returns to receive.

Is it possible to enable VOX while using the DVK simultaneously?

    Hi,
check what time is displayed for the file in DVK. It's possible that the shortened file isn't actually shortened.
If you set an end mark in your Audio software and save the file may be the old length will be retained.
Only if you save the selected area will the time be shortened.
At least that's how it works for me. But I use Goldwave

    Klaus,

Thanks for the tip. I rerecorded all of my messages and made sure to save only the audio I wanted. The DVK is working properly!

I found that to make the DVK work properly, the VOX must be turned off. I submitted a help desk ticket and received this answer. It sounds like we must be patient while this is corrected.
