TGXL and SSDR Mode Status disagree
I have noticed that the SSDR TGXL window status indicate OPERATE and the SSDR bottom right green TUN symbol says OPERATE but the TGXL Application shows a green BYP indicator in both A and B windows. I seem to remember seeing the TGXL window show a green OPR (operate) condition when the Tuners App was not in STANDBY or the Tuners Apps BYP button was not depressed.
Otherwise the TGXL,s TUNER appears to operate as it should

Is this a known "feature" of trying to incorporate the TGXL App into the SSDR software? Guess I forgot to ask if anyone else sees the above noted conditions.

Hello Larry, I'll take a stab at your question.
I never run the TGXL app with version 4 of SmartSDR, I am not sure why you need to when you control everything from SmartSDR, maybe you have a 3 Antenna version and need it to change Antenna's or something.
Anyway the Tuner Genius has very limited TCP Sockets and if your having trouble with it showing that it's in sink with SmartSDR then you can try to do a Power reset to clear the TCP sockets out on the Tuner, The sockets are how the Tuner interfaces with external equipment like the Radio, TGXL App and I think the Antenna Genius, and I believe that there are only 3 TCP sockets available to connect to.
When version 3.9 and 4 of SmartSDR came out the NODE-RED Tuner Genius Flow (Control) had to be re-written to pull the Data from SmartSDR and not from the TGXL and PGXL otherwise there were not enough TCP Sockets to run SmartSDR, Node-Red, and the TGXL app reliably.
This is just a guess but it could be the Issue you are seeing, so try a power reset on the Tuner and see what happens.

Thanks Bret. did that power reset stuff on everything to start clean but responses the same as previously mentioned. You did rock the memory a bit as I remember some "blurb" about the available TCP sockets and possibly to be increased in future releases of Tuner firmware. It all works as expected.
I might add that the Tuner App still shows the same conditions whether I am Using it or not. I go out in the he shed and the STBY light is lit regardless of whether the App shows standby. The SSDR indicators appear correct.

Mystery Solved, The reason the TGXL App showed BYP in the A and B windows is because I had changed the App settings in the OTHER Tab to sekect RX-BYP for both ports A and B.
Much ado about nothing apparently!
