Can the 8400 / 8600 GPSDO upgrade be disabled so an external frequency source can be used?

Can the 8400 / 8600 GPSDO upgrade be disabled so an external frequency source can be used?

All of the frequency and timing signals for my shack now come from a Symmetricom Time and Frequency server that's GPS locked and distributed to my 6600 (which I want to replace with the 8600), Q5 transverters, K4 and other test equipment.

Hi Roger, can you select it using the 10 MHz Reference Source drop-down box?

I don't have the GPSDO option, so I can't try it here. With just the built-in GNSS, I can easily switch among the different reference options.

    Hi Len,

I was looking at the 8600 that Bill, NO4ON has for sale on the Flex Community and trying to figure out if I can use my SYmmetricom Time & Frequency server with it instead of the GPSDO option that it has in it, so I don't have a radio to try it on.

Hi Roger, have Bill send you a screenshot similar to mine. That will tell you for sure.
