Mounting 6500 in an enclosed rack?

I am thinking about mounting my 6500 into an enclosed glass front 6u rack to keep dust away in basement location.

The rack does have exhaust dual fans for any heat (but for ft4/8 it never gets above 38c anyhow)

Thoughts? I have the rack sitting here doing nothing but If people think its a bad idea I won't.

    I have the FLEX Rack Mounting kit for a 19" equipment rack that will fit the 6500 I would sell you them for $50.00 plus shipping charges to US. If your cabinet has a fan in the top you should be fine.

    Certainly not an expert in this area, but I would think ANY kind of restriction on air flow in and around the unit would be a bad idea. If the rack is truly 'fully enclosed', then there is a good possibility that the heat generated by the Flex during normal operation will slowly raise the air temperature within the enclosure to where it can be a problem.

    Unless the rig is sitting in a very dust-prone environment (the floor of a wood shop comes to mind :-)), I would not bother. Maybe find another home/use for the rack unit.

    Thanks Bret, just sent a email about the rack kit also. (would be much softer then a rack shelf its currently sitting on).

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
