FLEX RADIO WITH ANTENNA GENIUS UTILITY & STREAM DECK

Hello everyone. I am the owner of the Flex radio FR6600. For switching antennas in SO2R or 2SBIQ mode, I use 4O3A products, namely AG 8x2, OM module and AB switch (I also plan to buy a Power Splitter PS3000RX). I switch them with Antenna Genius Utility. Since I have quite a few antennas, the management is a bit awkward, since it has to be done with the mouse. Of course, there are also hotkeys in the application, but when I am in the logging program, these keys do not work, or. I have to "jump" to the Antenna Genius Utility application again with the mouse. This is very dysfunctional during the competition itself, when the frequency of QSOs is high. Therefore, I am wondering if anyone uses Stream deck in combination with Rankot's Antenna Genius Utility application to manage antennas? I will be grateful for any useful advice.

I've not used a streamdeck but have used nodered and had the buttons for switching the antennas from the AG on a tablet just showing in a browser. I've got multiple antennas per band and use the OM module to switch all the stackmatches too.

This worked ok but now just have a separate PC with a touchscreen which handles all the switching - using a separate PC means no focus taken away from logger. I also use Flexbuttons on the same screen for all band/mode changes.

The little touch screen sits in front of the keyboard so easy to use. I also have rotators on here too so everything is changed by touch. As none of these programmes are high intensity I just bought a small i3 Intel NUC and a USB C touch screen off amazon.

Hello. Yes, that's exactly what I'm looking for, to have the focus of antenna management where it needs to be. Using hotkeys via the desktop application is time-consuming, and the application also loses focus when I go to the connection entry window. Node-red? Is this a paid application and do you have any advice on how to manage it, or how to configure all this?

Here is a good start https://groups.io/g/nodered-hamradio

Node red is free, you just need to programme it. The software can run on a Raspberry Pi or windows.

If you are just wanting to stop loosing focus, you could use something like AutoHotkey, it's a small programme that runs scripts in the background.

I made one for the antenna genius and DXlog so after I clicked on the antenna genius buttons to change antennas, focus automatically went back to DXlog - all it does it wait a set time after clicking on the window and returns focus to another window - so any logger could be used, that will be a lot easier than programming a screen of buttons in node red.

I can give you the script as an .exe so you just run it on your pc.

Great! Thanks for your effort and for the information provided. I recommend myself for the script.

    Hi Dare

    Here is the file https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/un16civcvng7pv4am5mmd/DX-Log-AG-8x2.exe?rlkey=rknvxqd0elpq9ai0hojs5oppn&st=yc3decgt&dl=0

The delay is set to 50ms currently, I found that to be quick enough.

If you need to do any config work on the utility, make sure the script is not running otherwise you won't be able to click anywhere.

I’ e done integration of Stream Deck to Node Red using websocket commands. You can assign a button to “do something” in Node Red. Depending on how you modify the flows you can have buttons to select antennas, stacks. Phasing direction for verticals, etc.

I recently uploaded a new Antenna Genius 2x16 flow. (Stacked AGs). If you would like to schedule time to see how to “wire” up one Stream Deck button to select antennas antenna, we can do that. Then use that example for the remaining antennas or stacks.

P.S. I get busy sometimes with other projects. Sometimes busier than when I was actually working.
