One year subscription - date question

So if I buy the one-year subscription I get all the updates released for 365 days….from the day I bought the subscription or the day you release the version?

that is, if I decide to live with basic now, and then get a subscription say in March '26, am I getting new features from Oct 25 to Sept '26 or from any features until (Mar 26-)Feb '27? that is, would those delaying the purchase be receiving less than 1 year if the don't get it when the version is offered?

Also, I see that a feature is 'released' to early folks, then 30 days after to plus folks. So if a feature is RELEASED within the year, but within the last 30 days of the subscription, would plus people receive it?

From date of purchase. Doesn't matter if it's today or next year sometime. You get updates and new features for one year from the date you purchase SmartSDR + or SmartSDR Early Access.

From the date of purchase? So if a feature is released 1 February 2026 and you take out a subscription on 1 April 2026, you do not get that feature? Impossible surely.

If I purchase Smartsdr+ in 25 days, do i wait 5 days for access to features (eg 30 days after they released it) or is it still 30 days after purchase of License to access features? Bit confused

Eric, I should have added that to my comment. If, in your example a feature is released on February 1st 2026 and you don't subscribe until April 1st 2026, you get everything from the release date of version 4 to the date you purchased/subscribed, and for a year more. I looked at my previous post and realized that someone might take it just like you just posted. I had intended to come back and amend my post to reflect that. But, I had some things to take care of first and didn't get back to it. My apologies for any confusion my original comment may have caused.

I am not confused, James. It was a question as it appeared that you did not mean up to and forward from date of purchase. But now I see that you did mean that.

And for Wayne, another good point. Does paying extra for early access in that scenario only get you 5 days or 30 days of being in the elite group? If 30 days then are the plebs having to wait more than 30 days so that all of the EA access periods have expired? Potentially 30 days wait could be 60 days.

And one of the many questions, along with all the criticisms, on one of the EU DX Groups yesterday: what if my subscription is valid when a new version with new feature is released but expires during the 30 days wait for it to become really available - does that mean it is denied unless the sub is renewed?
