I use a 6700 with latest V3 SSDR and plan to buy SSDR V4 for 8600.

Do I need to keep two versions on my PC ?. Both radios are connected to my PG and TG. I also use one Maestro with both radios. Will is switch between two SSDR versions depending on which radio I use?

Hi Tom, V4 Basic is free, so you can (and should) upgrade both radios to V4.0.1 Basic. Then if you want, you can buy the Plus version for $150 (each) for either or both radios to enable the new features. The SmartSDR for Windows version is 4.0.1 in either case, so you won't need to keep two versions of SmartSDR around.

You're welcome! I forgot to mention that the $150 price is a discount that expires soon, after that it goes back to the normal $200.

The discount expires at the end of November from what I read.
