Remote control Flexradio Aurora 510?

Hi OMs and YLs,

i am absolutely new to Flexradio and would like to know a few things...

I like to make CW QSOs with Windows 11 over a VPN (OpenVPN) to a Flexradio Aurora 510 in my Shack. Is it possible and how is the performance/delay?

Do I need extra hardware to connect the paddle or key to the Windows 11 Notebook?

    Hi OE4UFB,

    Paddle or Straight key can't be used for CW remote with a Windows computer.

    One possible solution is using the MorCoNI network keyer.

    So, the Maestro is the standard out-of-the-box solution for remotely operating the FlexRadio?

    Is it possible to detach the Maestro from the 510M and use it for remote operation, or do I have to buy the 510 and the Maestro separately?

    Separately. The front panel of an M model radio isn't removable.

    @OE4UFB The Maestro allows the CW key to be plugged into it and provides local side tone. Another option for remote CW is the MorConi. It is a small box that connects to your network at the remote operating position and can work with various CW keying. It also has a speaker output for local sidetone as well as adjustable keying speed. See more details at https://www.morconi.comError

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
