CAT entries have disappeared

(posted in groups.io as well, but didn't get a reply so thought I would try here)

Inexplicably, when I fired up SmartSDR this morning I found SmartSDR CAT was no longer showing the various CAT settings for N1MM, WSJT-X etc. I had about 10 definitions and now there are just two. It was working before and was working with the latest SmartSDR release.

I copied a backup of CAT.settings to ....users>name>AppData>Roaming>Flex Radio Systems and restarted but no change.

I uninstalled SmartSDR/CAT/DAX, rebooted, reinstalled. No change.

I read somewhere online that Profiles keep unique CAT settings. I am not sure that is true, but I did try loading my other profiles but it didn't change anything, I always just see two (I believe default) CAT entries.

Possibly related, but I also noticed that when I started SmartSDR, it started as a much smaller window than when I shut it down the night before. Almost as if some of the settings information for SmartSDR was not getting loaded too.

I am hoping there's a simple fix instead of having to recreate everything.

This happens to me regularly, since over a year or such CAT looses one or more ports after rebooting the PC. Earlier Versions did not show this habit.

Adrian before you go any further complete a help request. Flex personnel do a very good job helping with issues like the one you describe. This is not normal behavior. I'm not sure you did a backup but you can use SmartSDR Settings File Manager to complete a backup for when you have an issue.

Submit a helpdesk ticket for any guidance. I have this issue every few months where I lose all but one of the CAT definitions. Flex was not able to provide any resolution for me, so I have a workaround where I keep CAT definitions handy to manually re-enter.

Thx all. I recreated them today as I needed to be ready for the CWT contest. Having said that, Ronald, I don't see File Manager under SmartSDR>Settings. If you can point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks again, 73.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
