Balanced microphone

I want to use a Suuntok BM6000 balanced cardio condenser microphone on my FLEX 6600M.

I requires voltage as does all condenser microphones, so does the 1/4 Microphone Balanced input jack provide that voltage? I know it does on the 3.5mm microphone input jack for unbalanced microphones. Please let me know, Bob W6MTM (w6mtm@verizon.net)

The radio does not supply voltage for a condenser mic. You will need a 48 volt phantom power supply. The phantom supply I have for my condenser mic uses XLR connectors. The mic is also XLR. You can buy or make a XLR to 1/4 inch connector to go from the phantom supply to the radio. Don't forget to select BAL in the P/CW panel.
