Windows to IPAD

Hi all-

I would appreciate people's thoughts on a common issue I'm sure discussed before:

I have been using SmartSDR on windows with my 6400 with great success. In addition, I use the N3FJP logger and WSJT for FT8 and meteor scatter work. All work well together.

Now the hard part: I've gotten the Ipad connected to the Flex with an ethernet cable and that works fine. N3FJP isn't available on IOS and I can use another app, but is it possible to have the files read?

For FT8 and MSK144, WSJT is also not available for IOS. SmartSDR has an integrated FT8 part, but I did like the waterfall on WSJT. I'm also looking into iFTx if anyone has comments.

Thank you,

Scott

    Hi Scott

SmartSDR for iPad allows ADIF import, so you should be fine with pulling QSOs from the N3FJP log.

Concerning FT8/4 I would agree that having the waterfall always visible would be great. However, I just switch to Panadapter view when necessary to send out a CQ. I’ve never used iFTx, but it looks interesting. I’m not certain how well it integrated with SmartSDR and the Flex, though. It’s only $2, so you don’t have a lot to lose by trying it!

    Good luck!

    Thank you Bill.

In addition to FT8, I use MSK144 for meteor work and am trying to figure that one out in the absence of WSJT.
