Flex6300/OmniRig/Log4OM

I had my Flex6300/OmniRig/Log4OM working fine forever… until it wasn't. Suddenly, Log4OM isn't seeing the radio and displays "Offline". I've checked SmartSDR… CAT is turned on (it auto-starts). Omnirig shows Rig 1 as Smart SDR on COM4. Log4OM shows Omnirig under CAT engine with auto-start checked.

I don't remember making any changes. I've tried various restarts and reboots, but nothing has worked. What else should I check?

Hi Steve… I saw this intermittently also with the latest 3.9.18 update. It may be related to the bug noted in this thread. In my case, SmartCAT just kind of disappeared/disconnected from the radio for some reason.

Don, Thanks for the response. I am still on version 2.10, and I haven't updated recently. I will look through the thread and see if anything might apply to me. What you described, CAT disappeared/disconnected, pretty much sums up what happened to me.

I got it fixed. For anyone else who may experience this problem, it turned out to be Log4OM. If you go to the Log4OM CAT Screen, Connect/CAT/CAT Screen, there is a number in the upper right corner of the display. Mine was set to 2. I changed it to 1, and CAT came up.

I've been using Log4OM for many years and have never seen that option, but I've also never used a separate frequency display.

Perhaps this will save someone from chasing their tail like I did.

Hi Steve… thanks for the info. I'm running Log4OM v2.36.1.0 and mine was set to one.

For those wondering how to get to the screen Steve is referencing, in Log4OM on the main screen, select Connect/CAT/CAT Screen from the menu. Then the # he's referring to is in the top right of the screen. It only flips between 1 and 2, so my suspicion is that it's selecting which 'radio'.
