3.9.18 RTTY mode

Flex 6500, Maestro, PC with Windows 10 running N1MM+

Download and installed latest v3 and generally all looks ok. However I have noticed that in trying to set up mode control, under the Config menu, within N1MM+ that the drop down list does not show RTTY mode. After typing in RTTY into the selection window an error message states that RTTY mode is not available on the radio. I suspect that this has somehow come about through the latest version. I would be interested if anyone else has also found this before I begin to spend more time trying to resolve it.

Hi Mal, does the Flex have RTTY available as a mode? When you look at the Maestro does it give you that option? If it does, more likely an N1MM issue.

Are you using a log that allows RTTY?

Hi Rich, Yes the Flex has RTTY mode and at the moment I have to select it on the Flex SmartSDR software instead of N1MM+ automatically selecting it, which always has done to date. I have an RTTY contest tonight and can work around the problem but I will delve into it further during the week and check whether the Maestro software differs from the PC. Will post again after further assessment. I was kind of hoping that others using the same Flex latest v3 plus N1MM+ might just be able to check it out and comment as to whether they have lost RTTY out of the mode control selection. It works ok in selecting PSK.

Above RTTY issue now resolved. The problem was having selected just 'Flex' radio in the Hardware config instead of 'Flex 6000'. Obviously the earlier Flex radios didnt have a specific RTTY mode. RTTY now shows as an available mode when using Flex 6000. Finger trouble!
