ADP (Adaptive Pre Distortion)

Anyone else using the new ADP?

I've been doing some testing with my 8600M with ADP on or off

and with an amp.

I'm not seeing any improvement with ADP on as the displayed passband is very wide ie, the artifacts are extending out 10 Khz either side of the transmitted passband. with ADP off, I'm seeing the artifacts extend +/- 5Khz. Signal reports are excellent either way. Same image with the amp on or off (of course, the amp output is not being sampled as it is a SPE 2K-FA) I have a PGXL but not at this QTH

So I'm not sure what the panadapter slice is showing? Above the artifact display, the passband is very straight-edged vertically. So the signal is probably great.

But wondering what others are seeing. I'll keep looking for a contact with someone who has a panadaptor display.

    I'm on 80 meters using it right now. Definitely makes a difference. Not huge but now my signal is on par with people running the Anan radios.

    Also, what you see in the panadapter when transmitting is NOT what is actually going over the air. Have someone close to you with a good panadapter on their radio do pictures of your ADP off and on.

    On the Flex, the transmitted signal seen on the display is basically what “leaks” into the receiver from the transmitted signal.

    it is pre transmit filtering so what actually goes out is much cleaner. Do the full duplex setup that Ken, NM9P has on YouTube to see your transmit signal coming back in the receiver.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor.
