3.9.18 Small Anomaly

When I upgraded to 3.9.18, I lost my CW persistence and profile values. Delay went to 5, Speed went to 30 Sidetone went to 80 and pitch went to 600. If I reset the values and save my CW profiles, all is well.

My setup:

  • Flex 6400
  • Windows 10 Pro
  • Ethernet wired (no WiFi)

Everything else seems fine, including the ability to turn off profile autosave. I can change TX Profile items like Tune Power and RF power and it shows the save icon if I have autosave disabled - NICE!!

The update went perfectly, and except for needing to reset my CW preferences, all is working correctly.

All of my Utilities and my TeensyMaestro are working properly. So far, my third party apps are all working properly as well.

I found another problem. When changing to my 2 meter transverter, either by selecting the band or by using my 2 meter FM profile, the option always says Simplex, but is in fact in the actual state that I left it in (negative offset). Once I click the correct value (or set it through the API), it behaves normally until I leave the band and come back.

So to be clear, this is just an indicator reporting problem (indicator says Simplex, but radio is actually at neg offset).

    Len,

Thanks for the feedback. I think the changes to the CW profiles necessitated a reset of those controls. Hopefully that info made it into the release notes. If not, this is something we can improve.

I entered the "Always showing Simplex" persistence issue in SMART-11282. Thanks for reporting this.

Thanks for the response Eric, I appreciate it. I didn't see it in the release notes, but it makes sense. It just took a few minutes to reset, and has been fine since.

It was nice to meet you and the rest of the Flex team at Hamvention. I had a great time!
