Flex 8400M direct to offline laptop and N3FJP Logging

I have a Flex 8400M that I want to use at Field Day with N3FJP software. When laptop is connected directly to the radio and I turn on logging software the setting are on Flex API. They don't seem to be talking to each other. I thought it would be easy but I am stumped. I am a new Flex owner, so be gentle please.

I do have latest Flex software installed on laptop and it seems to work fine when on my home network. I will not have internet at the Field Day site.

Thank you

I solved the problem I was having. I could see tcpip activity at my laptop connection, so I knew the radio was talking to the laptop. I figured that a port was blocked by anti virus software, so I removed Norton and it immediately started working.

    Thanks, I love this radio…

just make an exception for AC Log in Norton firewall. Look at list of programs and find ACLog if it is there. See what your PC is using now (Public or private network) and make sure the checkbox for that network is checked for ACLog. If you do not see ACLog in the list, you can add a program and browse to the ACLog exe file.
