I am guessing this radio is geared towards fast large data transfers over HF ie financial transactions ?

    The AD9371 specified frequency range is 300 MHz to 6 GHz so I suppose it has some amateur radio applications.

    Good eye. I was zeroed in on the AI aspect and missed that important fact. The transceiver does not appear to have any mic jack but lan and usb connections. They say received / detected data can be applied to systems and or responded to but the response seems to be limited to a machine response.

    There is already a Flex 9000 series of radios. They are the government/military radios.
