TX Waterfall Goes Black as expected – No Signal inside the black waterfall.

Hi all,
I’m running two Flex radios—one dedicated to HF (which is working flawlessly), and the other for satellite operations (2m/70cm) using a transverter.
Everything seems to be working on the SAT setup in terms of audio level and transmission, but I’ve noticed a strange issue:
When I transmit, the waterfall display goes black as expected
There is no visible signal trace inside of the waterfall during TX
However, the audio level meter on the right shows that audio is being transmitted
It’s almost as if SmartSDR is transmitting, but not displaying the signal visually on the waterfall. Receive is working fine, and the transverter is configured correctly as far as I can tell.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Fred, is the Show TX in Waterfall enabled?

Thanks, Len. Yes, it was on — I was using a Q5 Transverter but wasn’t seeing any waterfall information when connected to the XVTR port and learned they don't show when is on XVTR port.

Hi Fred, thanks for the follow up. I just experimented with my transverter, and you are right - I had no idea it worked that way. I guess it makes sense, as the waterfall would only show the IF, not the transverter output.
