DAX TX is disabled when pressing PTT

I am running MAC OS 15.3.2 and SmartSDR 2.9.68 connecting to an 8600 running 3.8.23. The MAC is attached via USB to a nice mixer which enables me to use various MICs. I created a new microphone profile connecting to the MAC with DAX TX enabled. When I press PTT, DAX TX is disabled. I have to press PTT then turn DAX back on to transmit. It's very annoying like double mute. How can I fix this?

when running macssdr there is no reason to use DAX for audio for ssb mode. just set audio

in systen setting select for input your usb based mixer this will be the mic macssdr will use

see sectio 3.4 of macssdr manual for mic/spker slection

I feel fortunate someone is here to catch my mistakes. I thought for sure I had checked the settings, even double checked. I guess not. DAX RX was able to return audio from the radio. So, I figured that DAX TX was the answer. Thanks Paul.
