Need technical support from FlexRadio? It's as simple as Creating a HelpDesk ticket.

The 'buttons' in AG are grey and I can't tell which antenna is selected.

I have 2 AG's in use, so 16 antenna ports in total. I installed Antenna Genius (running V4.1.16) on 2 PC's running Windows 11. There I have the following issue: Normally the Antenna selected on flex output ANT1 or ANT2 is green or blue colored. However when I start SSDR on these PC's, the color disappears and I can't see which antenne is selected, all buttons are grey. Since I have multiple antennas for several bands, this is really annoying.

However, as soon as I quit SmartSDR, the colors reappear! I have another PC running windows 10, where this issue is NOT appearing. Also my contest buddy who uses my station, on his Windows 11 machine, all works normal (running same AG version)!

I have checked on the 4O3A ticket site and noticed that OE2GEN has reported this months ago already but after a request from Dragisa for pictures, it remains quiet. I e-mail OE2GEN but no solution until now ... I submitted a ticket myself some months ago, no response; I just checked and although the ticket is shown in my 'Open' items list, when I click on it, the system doesn't find the ticket. I also can't update OE2GEN's ticket to ask for a status, system gives me an error ...

So I'm kinda stuck here ... anyone can help (I'd have hoped for better support from the OEM as these are expensive units! ... so I'm a bit disappointed too)?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Frank, on the Flex website, V4.1.8 is the latest version for the AG. You might try that version to see if it solves your problem.

Hi Len, looking at the 4O3A homepage, there 4.1.16 is the latest, which I have... So not sure which one to look for the most actual one? Should I downgrade to 4.1.8 / is this a known issue with 4.1.16 that 4.1.8 doesn't have?

Hi Frank, I don't know anything about the software other than that Flex distributes 4.1.8. It is worth trying 4.1.8 to see if it solves your issue.

Do you have a TG XL in use?

    1x3 or SO2R?

make sure you have both RX and TX selected for bands used by each antenna. Uncheck None for those bands.

In the Flex tab, make sure A and B sections are enabled and the right serial number for the radio is selected. Make sure CAT tab both A and B are not enabled.

if you upgraded the AG from a prior version, try doing factory reset from the app. Do the factory reset twice then set up the AG again.

Hi David, thanks for your reply. To answer your questions:
    1. I don't have a TGXL in use.
    2. SO2R ... so running 2 coaxes to 2 A/B switches.
    3. None is not selected for those bands.
    4. In the Flex TAB, Port A has ANT1 selected, Port B has ANT2 selected. The serial number is correct on both ports.
    5. Since I installed Windows 11 on both these PC's I started with a clean sheet and installed this current version which I downloaded from the 4O3A website (4.1.16). But I'll check how that factory reset goes and if I can revert back to the version on the Flexradio website. I'll let you know the outcome.

    Thanks!

I had this problem after an update for Win11 completed. I'm using 4.1.8, so maybe it's not a'4O3A' issue, but something to do with WinDoze?

I've not investigated further as yet but will report back when I get into the shack.

An update on my situation - hopefully it is of some help to you…..

I'm using BCD linkage for band selection. The AG followed the band selection on the rig without an issue, but the selected antenna was not depicted on the PC screen and was greyed out.

Turned out to be an IP address issue which Win11 somehow caused. This happened after Win11 updated from version 23H2 to version 24H2. It also messed around with firewall settings too.

I fixed it yesterday - simple to do once you've got to the bottom of what's going on. All of the drivers functioned without issue. Thankfully.

    Hi Phil,

thanks for the info. But what exactly did you do to fix it (or am I overlooking that)? I checked the IP adress of my AG in my router and both are correct (and static). Also, when SSDR is NOT running, the colors do show. Only when SmartSDR is running, the colors disappear. Oh, and I'm not running any seperate BCD linkage.
