TGXL Configuration Question
I'm configuring a TGXL v 1.2.11 to work with a Antenna Genius v 4 upgrade.
In the Tuner Genius Configuration tab "Other" under "Band Configurator" is the choice "Select if you want the tuner to bypass Antenna A when in receive mode."
Please explain this choice.

hi Larry
There are two settings in band configuration. First is bypass on RX. The tuner will act as a bandpass filter and for example, if you are using a multiband antenna to receive 15 and 20 meters at the same time, you would want to have the tuner in bypass during receive and in circuit when transmitting. Otherwise the tuner would reduce the receiver on the other band.
The second thing is you can bypass the tuner on sections of a band where the antenna is resonant.
Example. If your antenna has a low SWR below 7.150 on 40 meters but above 1.5 above 7.150, you can set it to bypass the tuner from 7000.0 to 7150.0 (entered as kilohertz)I hope this answers your question.

Thanks, Dave, that does explain what the selection does.
