    Blinking red light on start up - brand new 8400

    I received my 8400 last week after waiting since July. Now upon start up the flashing green turns to flashing red before it shuts down. I gather from the technical reports this is a fan issue. Very disappointing after waiting all this time. Anyone else have this problem?

      best bet is to set up a Help Desk Ticket. The Flex techs can help diagnose what it going on.

      Depends how many times it flashes

      Error Conditions Certain hardware and software error conditions cause the radio to stop operating and display an error code by flashing the Power button light as follows:

      • One red flash: Fan malfunction

      • Two red flashes: Software crash

      • Three red flashes: Boot failure

      • Four red flashes: Input power over voltage

      • Five red flashes: CPU overcurrent

      • Six red flashes: Input power under voltage

      Either way, open a helpdesk ticket with Flex.
