SmartLink and AT&T Fiberoptic Internet

Good morning,
I recently got Flex 6400 and that day I was able to register with Smartlink. It worked until I decided to perform factory reset. That was when SmartLink stopped logging in.
I am using AT&T fiberoptic internet with their new router. Nothing was changed since first successful activation. I followed Flex videos, open those two ports and nothing helped.
Any suggestions?

Hi,
You mention their "new router". Did that change since you first set up SmartLink?
I helped another customer with AT&T fiber and the gateway (router) that they supplied would not port forward correctly. You can try going to
and see what your WAN IP is. If it is a 192.168.x.x, 10,x,x,x, or 172,16,x,x then those are non-routable private IPs, meaning you have CG-NAT, or double NATting. You could try to contact AT&T to see if they can assign you a public IP. If you have a public IP then here's a Help Desk article on setting up SmartLink. Please follow the steps. You want to deregister the radio from SmartLink and then register it again.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for that update.
No, the router was the same when I setup my SmartLink first time. I mean new router which is white big tower comparing the slim black routers they would provide for regular cable internet. The interface of that newer router is quite different from previous router I would have, Linksys and Netgear.
I will ask AT&T to make my radio address static and make that change as for the public.
Hopefully that will work.
Thanks again!
Sincerely
Serhiy

Hi Dave
My external or public IP address begins 108.
I guess it’s promising.
I’ll check video and if I have any issues I’ll call ATT.
Thanh’s again.
Regards,
Serhiy0
