Flex 6400 and Transverter
Hello to all Readers
I have the following situation:
but the transverter does not go to TX. Would it be necessary to activate the TX1 output via software somewhere?
If YES, how and where?

Edit: I just find out …..
Question No 2: If I TX does it NOT show the offset Frequency?

Hi Daniel, In SmartSDR, go to Settings, TX Band Settings…, and put a check in the box that corresponds with your band and RCA jack choice.
In my example, I use TX1 to key my HF amp. I use TX2 to key my 2 meter transverter and TX3 to key my 2 meter amp.

Daniel… Did you configure the XVTR tab?

HI Daniel, if you are on an FM repeater frequency, the flag does not show the TX freq, only the RX freq. If you zoom out the panadapter far enough, you will be able to see your TX freq on the panadapter as a spike.

————————————-PS: It would be nice if there is a possibility to import a Memory list into the SmartSDR Memory ………PS2: What XVTR are you using?

Hi Daniel, I don't know of a way to import a list into Flex memory, but you might be interested in a Windows utility that makes FM repeater operation much easier.

From the ReadMe file:
FlexRepeaterSpots is a utility for Flex 6000 and 8000 series transceivers. It places “permanent” spots on your SmartSDR screen (these spots do not time out like DX spots). The spots indicate the frequency and name of FM repeaters. A table of FM options is kept for each repeater spot such that clicking on a spot applies the appropriate options (mode, offset and direction, CTCSS tone, squelch) to the active slice (i.e. the slice that just landed on the spot). This utility is also good for spots that are not FM oriented. I use it to mark nets, band edges and W1AW bulletin frequencies. As of V1.08, the utility will place callsign data from a clicked spot into the callsign box in any of the N3FJP loggers. Only DX spots will populate the callsign box.
The utility can specify spots in its Config.ini file and/or create spots from Flex memory. I set mine using Config.ini so that I can set spot colors. There is a User Manual on the GitHub page with all of the detail in it.

Forgot to mention… I am using one of the Ukranian transverters. It works well with the Flex, but is virtually unfiltered. I got it working, but couldn't use it because the second and third harmonics were terrible. It also passed the 116 MHz LO frequency to the antenna. I bought and built a 2 meter low pass filter from QRP Labs and that really helped the upper harmonics, but it did nothing to stop the 116 MHz spur.
I found a really good DCI 2 meter bandpass filter at a hamfest, and now my signal is completely legal. It works well on FM, SSB and CW. I rarely use my 80 Watt FM amp, but with the two fiters in-line after the transverter, I can use it without worry about out of band spurs.
