SO2R with Flex 6600 and Expert 1k5 Amplifier

I own both a 2K-FA and a PGXL and have them connected to my 6400M and 6600M. If I were going to run SO2R I'd use the the PGXL to do so. It is designed for the purpose and requires no Rube Goldberg-style wiring arrangements to do so The Expert amps are designed to implement a "semi" SO2R setup in that the most recent transmitting input receives the "preferred" transmit antenna for a given band while the other input is connected to a multiband antenna for receive purposes. If this type of arrangement is adequate for your needs, I'd contact Dan, KC5PCB, to see if he can make for you an interface cable that will control both inputs of the amp from a single radio. If you have 4 or fewer transmit antennas you may not need the antenna genius since the 1.5K supports that many itself. Note: if I owned just one amp it would be the 2K-FA. It is quieter, requires less drive, and runs cooler than the PGXL. The advantages of the PGXL are just the simplicity of connections and its implementation of true SO2R
