VFO A and VFO B do not accept different bands at the same time

Member ✭✭

For example 80m on VFO A and 40m on VFO B cannot be set, not even by entering the frequencies using the keypad. Works only with QRGs within the same band. I have no such problems with SmartSDR Mac/iOS. Can anyone confirm this or give a hint on how to solve the problem? I would like to use different resonant antennas this way.

Are you sure you are entering the frequency correctly and its not just failing to set through wrong entry?

@HB9BNV notice that Erik has two panadapters open, one for each band. Try that, and I think that it will work for you.

Since what is supposed to work must work, after your observations, I started troubleshooting by simply resetting the radio (6400) - and lo and behold: now it works, with two pan adapters, as recommended! It's a bit surprising that this helped, since it already worked before with SmartSDR. Perhaps the touchpad was acting up with the numeric keypad, because after entering the first digit of a new frequency in VFO B, the display always jumped to the previous value in the same band as A and vice versa. However, now the problem is solved, ufb! mni tnx for the encouragement here, hi…
