Flex 6400 microphone

Does all types microphones work with the flex? I have a 6400 I tried hooking my cheap dynamic mic to the trs port using a trs to xlr cable off Amazon also using a foot switch to key and it is not working. Flex hand mic works fine even when I use my foots with to key. Anyone have wiring diagrams for trs to xlr 3 pin using a cheap dynamic mic?

Check your cable. It probably should be Pin 1 to sleeve, Pin 2 to tip and pin 3 to ring.
In the Flex you will probably need boost on and bias off.
