Flex 6400 ATU

I have a Flex 6400 Auto tuner question. I notice when I try to tune 14 MHZ on my Flex 6400 and Alpha delta DX LB Plus. It says "Success: "Bypass" "Memory" with the ATU grayed out. NOW does this mean the antenna is tuned and needs no other tuning ? I am still confused about what is written in the manual.

As I understand it, what this means that the ATU found your antenna to be 'close enough' (within SWR 1.5 to 1 or so) that it didn't need the ATU. So, it's in 'Bypass' mode. And the MEM button being illuminated means that it has memorized that setting for around that frequency.

That is what I thought but was not sure.

Best way to confirm is to watch the SWR meter on the Flex when you transmit. It will show you the instantaneous SWR and confirm that the antenna match is good without the ATU.
